I was recently accused of defending Godlycook. I've never defended him, nor would I need to, for the Lord will take care of him. I always support his stand for the gospel of Christ our Lord, though, because he always makes that stand. Does he always act perfectly? No, but he does admit his wrongs and apologizes for them. I will always lift him up and encourage him for standing, but both him and I know that the glory goes to the Lord. I support what he does because there are always young saints coming in, and someone needs to give them the truth when false doctrine or incorrect interpretation of the scriptures is posted. Some do this well, and othes do otherwise. I would write more, but it's hard for me to type out all the things I would say. So i'll support those who can write more readly then me. I welcome help from wherever it comes, be it prayers of support, words of encouragement, introducing relevant scripture on the subject. Every little bit helps.......remember that one will put a thousand to flight but two ten thousand. Thank you for the support and may the Lord bless you and Robin richly. Godlycook, you always act as if you were some LONE COWBOY who is out there 'defending the truth' and being downtrodden. The whole thing is a JOKE. EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU ON BC believes you dont have to keep the Law of God! Every one of you. Thats the sorry state of Christianity today. This CALVINISM has permeated the entire Christian World. Just about every 'Christian' today will tell you that there's NO CONDITION to Eternal Life... "Just Believe"... To be honest, is makes me SICK the way you people act as if you are just the 'downtrodden few' defending 'the truth'. GET REAL! The Christian message is ( and always will be ) justification by faith alone, and true faith produces a godly character ( in the believer ) without the aid of keeping ( or trying to keep ) the law. Salvation by GRACE is not a license to sin ( as you keep twisting ) but the freedom to serve God in a new way ( not by the letter ) by the indwelling Holy Spirit; who SANCTIFIES the believer, which in-turn produces " good works ", which God had prepared in advance for the believer to walk in. To put it another way, good works follow conversion, but the law never produces good works. The laws job is to expose our sin nature, and then lead us to Christ ( and His cross ); not back to the law. For the law brings wrath. After all of the many times, that I have made that clear enough to be seen by you; you insist on telling those who will listen to you, that I say it's Ok to live any way you want ( go on sinning ), and still expect to go to heaven. You ask foolish questions like, " If a terrorist becomes a Christian and then straps a bomb to himself, and blows up an abortion clinic, will he still get into heaven ? " Clearly, no truly BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN is going to strap a bomb to himself and blowup anything !!! I have explained this to you dozens of times; but you keep twisting my message. Do Christians become perfect, after believing on Christ alone ? No !! Are you perfect because you try to keep the law ? No !! So, how do you expect to get into heaven ? You certainly won't get into heaven, by believing what you currently believe. Why ? Because you have a " condition " to receiving eternal life, which is dependent on you obeying the law. That is going to kill you. For no one will be declared righteous, good, perfect, sanctified, worthy, for obeying the law. The Righteousness which God requires ( and is pleasing to Him ) comes through Faith, in the completed work of Christ. And God has forgiven all of the sins; which have or could be committed by His saints ( we have an Advocate with the Father ), and no longer does He count the believers sins against them. Why ? Because Christ nailed them to His CROSS. You're the one who needs to get real. Well said! I don't usually comment in posts where the truth of God's Word is being defended against an onslaught of attacks because others seem to be able to defend it a lot better than I can with words. I'm starting to think that maybe I should at least post a word of encouragement to the truth defenders. And I consider Godlycook a truth defender! Thanks for the post! Hello, Thomas. First may I say that I am so very happy for Robin and you and the love that you have found thru our Lord Jesus Christ. Secondly, may I say that God has given me another hert to hold and all the hate and discontent on the blogs is starting to get to me. As a matter of fact it HAS been getting to me for quite some time. I have turned off my profile and I am in the process of erasing my blog. My apologies should I have erased the person thatcommented on one of my posts today. I have reached the pint where I have to take care of the heart that God has given me. That heart belongs to a very special lady that I call Debsy. So, Thomas, take care of yourself, but most of all take care of Robin. You may see me around sometime but for te most part I have reached the breaking point when it comes to blogging. Truth Defenders? 1Jn:2:4: He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. I've never said anything to you that was mean or dishonest, but I have given you truth, and i'm sorry if that offended you. I've never ever written anything untrue on here, and I never will. If somebody misinterprets scripture, i'll correct them, or support anyone else who does so. Does his mean I hate them? No. If someone disagrees with you, that doesn't mean they're bad, or that they'e like the pharisees. Sometimes, it means that they're right, and you're in error. God knows. But if you take things personally, people don't see what you're so desperately trying to convince them of-they see your pain. The pain of feeling rejected. The pain of feeling attacked. Honestly, HOW can I be 'of one accord' or in unity with, so-called 'Christians' who teach that there are NO CONDITIONS for Eternal Life? What they are REALLY SAYING is the exact OPPOSITE of what we just read... They are saying that idolaters, whoremongers, unclean persons, covertous people or just ANYBODY with an unchanged heart and chaaracter can enter into heaven... The Bible says not to be partakers with them. IMAGINE THIS... all the people who THINK they will be in heaven NO MATTER WHAT! and whats worse? Id say the only thing WORSE then that are people who TEACH such a farce and ENCOURAGE people to STAY THAT WAY... thinking their Eternal Life is SECURE when its really FAR FROM SECURE. " That's how she twists what others have said about the grace of God.......as if we condone sin. She holds to the opposite extreme ( legalism, or law keeping ) of the error called anti-nomianism ( sin as you please ). Both are wrong, and both need to be exposed.
