Cats Who Stare at Doors OR Women Who Stare at Walls

Which would you like to read about?

My cat stares at a door when she wants to be on the other side of it. She does not say, "Open sesame," or any other sound. She just stares. And it works! The door 'magically' opens for her as I put my hand to the knob and pull. I suspect many house-bound cats employ this method of escape but maybe not all so silently.

Women who stare at walls is much rarer - at least I hope it is! Yet I am the one being of this hopefully singular occupation. I stare at the wall outside my front door but only after dark. It is not so I cannot be seen, however. The porch light is on, in fact, illuminating my odd hobby to the neighborhood. I do not exhibit peculiar behavior without reason. I am hunting for food. Live food. The nice thing about summers is that I can take advantage of moths and beetles flying to the light at night. My gecko and tarantulas need to eat. See, I'm not weird after all...??

Train them creatures to be more like the cat- they can then magically make the door open, go outdoors and get their own suppers...
So, have the lizards & tarantulas stare at the door and wait for me to 'magically' open it by turning the knob & pulling 5 different times rather than just for the one cat? It's plan. Not a great plan but it's a plan...

Lilies, yes they have us trained don't they? And yes Steve, those fans scare me when going fast enough to fly . I've always had a bird, and fans are bad for birds too .

Jan: It is now! Robin: I hate fans because I always manage to stand up into one! I stopped one dead with my head one time. OUCH! What happened to Claudia? Did she go away already?

Got you head stuck in a fan?? Is that because you're a hot head??? Careful there, Dude!!

    Fieldlilies..you are most definitely normal.

    Then again..you have a pet spider ?!?!?

What in God's name for may I ask ? And no..I'm not buying into 'you're being eco friendly in keeping the natural selection in balance as you moth harvest.'

Me normal? I'm not sure I want to be.

I have a spider (big ol' girl) every yr. in my window. Beautiful web, and I'd watch her. But this yr. no spider. All her eggs must have frozen or something. I always called them Charlotte. I hope one makes it soon. I had one hanging from the ceiling earlier, right in front of me, but he went on up, and is hiding. He'll have to be put outside. He's a little biter. Think I've been bitten by those at night before. I miss Charlotte now....

Aw... Charlotte helped reduce pest insects around your home. Yea, Charlotte! I wonder where she [ or her daughters ] went??

Which animal do you want next?

Don't tell us you let that spider crawl up your bare arm!

I sit and stare at blog posts sometimes.

Next? I want a bird. And no, I do not let spiders crawl up my arm. Just scorpions over my hands. They are related to spiders!
