We didn't live that far from each other and so we met in person about 10 days later at a coffee shop and talked for four hours and it was love at first sight. We married in January 2004 and spent our first Valentine's Day together as husband and wife. We both had been previously married and had children and our family has blended amazingly well. I didn't move from my home until June so that my children could finish out their school year with their friends, but this also gave time for our children to get to know each other better on the weekends. It was the right decidsion to make for our children and I do not regret it at all. It has been an amazing journey. Here it is 10 years later from when we first met and I love him more and more each day. I am so thankful that God brought us together. He is the man of my dreams and truly everything he said in his profile that he was. | |

| godlyjeo said hello people of God, it really my pleasure coming here to express my life story with my brothers and sisters in the Lord . life is full of experiences, and i had gone through many life experiences which i had the good and the bad to tell, but will like to limit my self to the good and positive part of my life story. i was very little when i graduated from the university and was given immediate chance to pursue my masters degree, there i met a very beautiful queen of my life. i really admire her i which to have her as a wife after my masters degree in the school then, so with time we got to know our self's and when we graduated together we got married and live as one till death gnashed her away from me . i really hope i will find love here again , cos it really good having some one you can love and lean on for life to go happily . |

In 1993 when I had just passed S.S.C suddenly we fall in a falls case and my father arrested by police. And after some days me to arrested by police. After few days I get gamin but I stopped my education and now I understood that was my great mistake. After one year my father proved crime by court and he had thrown to jail by court for 32 years and that's moment my mother lost her imaginary and now she is out of my control even I don't know where is she now. She always runs door to door and she don't want to believe anyone. <br><br> In 1995 I had got married to find out just for peach, but my misfortune don't help me. After few days I had gotten a large family of 5 members with my 3 kids. I had fallen a great economic problem. I was an unemployed person. One of my best friend name DELIP (always he helpful to me) suggest me to learn about photography from his uncle. From then I have learn about photography and now am a small still photographer. In 1997 I had build a photo studio but that's time my earn was too limit and my expense was too more. In a few days am fall in great poverty and very tired to bear my family. That's time I feel there haven't any way without suicide. But from my childhood I had knew about JESUS and have a good concept about Christian. I thought most of real Christians are helpful to each other. On that's believe I had went to church at BORODAL in Ashasune thana to meet with Christians. But really I didn't knew anyone in there. Firstly I meet with there's gatekeeper named KANTO and I asked to him how many foreign Christians Fr. there have? He told me there have only one Italian religion and if I need to talk with him of course I need any identity by any other Bengali Christian religion. But that's time I didn't knew like that any. So I had requested to him to give him a latter what's I had written to him in Bangla. After few minutes he called me and that was first I had meet with any foreigner. I give him respect just by a word NAMASKER! But really he had talked with me too frankly and made me too easy with him. He asked to me some about mine. Now am happy for his help. |

| chigne said I joined bigchurch a second time towards the end of March 2008, as last attempt searching for a soulmate online. This was after I was deceived by a man I met on this same site in July 2007. I did it very reluctantly, but promised myself that after this, no more. I have met a lot of ungodly men on this site, but the success stories of a few single ladies about finding a life partner through on line dating spurred me on to re-register again on this site. This time I was led to not restrict any matching profile accessing me by email. To God's glory, as am writing now, I met Francis with whom I will be joined in holy matrimony in August this year. The whole thing sounds strange but deep down it is so real and amazing. I want to thank my spiritual motivator, Bob Gass (writer of the word for today)who encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone, things am used to, in order to get the expected blessing from God. At this time in my life the no. expectation is 'a God fearing man' for marriage. Due to some personal and societal reasons, it is not easy finding like minded males in a church or other places of interaction for marriage relationship. This now comfirmes to me that in deed, God works in mysterious ways , His wonders to perform. I want to say thank you to bigchurch for being used by God to answer my prayer for a life partner. But I must request that effort should be stepped up to hinder godless men and cassanovers from joining christain site like this. I hope to encourage sisters and brothers not to give up, but to be open and wise in their search for a life partner believing that God 'who works in mysterious ways to perform His wonders' will one day give them answers to their to prayers. | |
 | friend4lyfe said God is good. I joined BigChurch about three weeks ago and to my amazement met someone on the site within 2 days of joining. We met up 5 days later. He made an approx. 300 mile round trip to meet and take me to dinner. Almost the first thing he said on meeting me (when we managed to stop laughing at what was happening)was, "you look even better than your pic". Do they all say that??. <br><br> The first date could not have gone any smoother, conversation flowed, there was a definite attraction on both sides and we both love God passionately. <br><br> I invited him in for coffee after dinner and chatted into the early hours of the morning. As he was leaving, we agreed that we would meet later that morning and spend the day together. (we had originally only planned the Friday eve. and had made no plans for, nor had we discussed Saturday) In any case, the following day was just perfect. We strolled on Blackheath, (for those of you who are not farmiliar with these places, pls google)then on to Greenwich, did the markets, Cutty Sark, strolled along the river and lunched in a pub overlooking the river. We then went to the o2 @ the Millenium Dome, after which, we collected my daughter and went bowling, then a meal. Spent another evening talking and praying till 3.30 in the morning. He stayed over and left on Sunday morning as I was leaving for church. We've been in daily txt, email and telephone contact since. I have been introduced to his sister over the telephone and as far as I understand, he has told his friends about me and our wk'end and they are happy for him. He has extended an invitation from his General Manager, for dinner with him and his wife (is this too early to be meeting friends and family?) I am due to be visiting him for a couple of days next wk (God willing). We are both, very much, looking forward to seeing each other again. We are praying that God has his way with this relationship and that we put him before all else. <br><br> I have always been sceptical about online meeting/dating sites but, thanks to BigChurch, not anymore. <br><br> I pray that God will bless other members in their search. |

I had to learn Portuguese in order to understand her letters. I starting taking lessons from a native Brazilian man in our church. ..then after about 2 months began corresponding in my Girlfriend's native language. She meanwhile was learning Spanish and English in order to correspond with me. We found lots to chat about and we were open and honest from the start. We also chat frequently using LIVE MESSENGER and sometimes speak to each other by telephone. We have developed a strong friendship which is an excellent foundation for marriage. God has also given us a genuine and deep love for each other based on mutual trust and respect and we believe that God will Confirm our love for each other and his plans for our lives when we meet, personally. | TENNESEE said Well, its kind of unusual the way, my wife and I met. I was in one of the chat rooms, I believe it was "The Friendship Room" it was the last week of Aprl of 2006, and I was in the room, having a bad day, and my soon-to-be wife, txlisa362, started talking to me, and I yelled at her for some reason or another, anyways, we exchanged e-mails and went from there. <br><br> Incidentally, we finally met in person in Jul of 2006 and by that fall Sept of 2006 she and her son who was four at the time, moved from Galveston, Texas to Franklin, Tennessee to be with me. I had a very difficult childhood and started doing drugs, drinking and partying as early as 12 years. I had no supervision and was left to find out about life on my own. My brothers were taken away when I was too young to remember. How I managed not to be taken away is beyond me. I started skipping school in the second grade. I was very smart and I would miss anywhere from 20 to 30 days every school year and I still made straight A's. I had major self-worth issues growing up. Let me say this. If God can break down the walls and help me to see my worth through His eyes, He can do it for anyone. God is still doing a work in my life and I am forever THANKFUL He hasn't given up on me. I am finally learning what it means to feel LOVED!!! Life isn't easy by no means. Wrap your arms around the neck of Jesus and allow Him to carry you and you will find A PEACE THAT PASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING! I learned this when my first husband was killed in an auto accident. My world as I knew it forever changed and the only way I survived it was in His Arms and pouring out my heart, tears and all! I have wanted to give up so many times and say what's the point, but God has a plan for my life and He will bring beauty from all the pain. |

I know plenty of you understand that. It takes time to get to know someone; and you don't have that kind of time with children. <br><br> I didn't know when I would find someone, but I knew that eventually it would happen. And I knew it would be easier if I wasn't just counting on randomly running into someone. For the most part they were not in my local area, and eventually the emails would stop. Then I received an email that changed my life. <br><br> 1000 miles away a wonderful woman had noticed that I read her profile, so she read mine. And then she wrote to me. I was blown away by her letter. She had obviously really read what I had written. And when she wrote back there was so much thought and depth, so much of herself, in what she wrote. <br><br> She made comments in that first letter based on things I had written in my profile. She shared things from her life that tied in to things in mine. Her words expressed her humor and her faith in what she wrote. She was so joyful and energetic. Her enthusiasm was awesome. <br><br> One of the things that really got my attention was the way she wrote. There was nothing sloppy or careless ... nothing rushed. Her grammar and spelling were both excellent. That and the content of her letter showed that she cared about what she wrote ... that she wasn't just slapping out quick emails to people. It also showed a certain level of intelligence and command of the English language. With three small children it would be nice to have someone around that could help with the homework at least! <br><br> The power of this type of a service is that you have a way of filtering some of the things you want and don't want. You can choose who you want to respond to. You can look for quality without having to go through quantity. <br><br> I love her, my children love her, and we are getting married next summer. After another failed attempt with another guy who was not who he said he was, I was through with online all together. I switched my profile to friends and resigned myself to finding someone the old fashioned way. Dating 1000 people and hoping one of them works out. Then I was contacted by a guy that I thought would be a nice friend, a methodist pastor named Ephesians. Little did I know that that man would be the best boyfriend I have ever had and in future will be the best husband I could of even imagined. I then proposed to her, and she accepted in Feb 2004. In Feb of 2005 I travelled to Germany, and we got married by city-hall.Our next step was to introduce my bride to Canada, so we spent our first Christmas as a married couple in Canada. She returned to Germany in late january 2006, to finalize a lot of "Red-Tape", and is returning to Canada for good on May 19/06. And we will have a Candle-light church wedding on Jul 8th/2006, after which we will tour extensively (about three months) through Canada and the US. (No this is not a honeymoon, as our honeymoon started the day we got engaged-28Feb 04 and will cease, when The Father calls us home.) As I have my own office within the church I serve (Baptist), I am preparing myself, and my wife for the job ahead--I am in the process, through prayers, to accept a Pastor's position in Western Kentucky , USA.And joyfully, we will serve our Lord. I was once asked by a fellow pastor, who at age 65 retired from his church, to enjoy life, and his words were to me : Karl, when will you retire and enjoy life?" I replied:"I enjoy life serving our Lord and I retire, when He calls me home." I like to close with a few simple words of advice to all my Christian friends at BC. Soon we were talking via a computer programme logging 4 hours a conversation and at times 6 hours a day. Both of us had entered Big Church with our focus on the Lord and seeking Him above all else and as we shared our hearts, life stories, and experiences of faith in Jesus Christ; the level of relationship deepened. We were hampered from meeting because of parental care responsibilities until God impressed upon me the need to pray that he would invite me down over New Years 2006. I prayed through one weekend in December and on the 19th, after he met with a friend to pray, as we talked, that night, he asked me to come and spend at least a week over New Years. We had a wonderful week and knew that it was God's handiwork. We ordered the engagement ring and I got on the coach to return home. Several miles later I knew I was ill and could not continue the journey. Ian came for me and we continued the God-centered process of getting to know one another. The ring we ordered that was to take 3 weeks arrived in 3 days and on 9 January over a candlelight dinner he asked if I would marry him. Not even a viral cold could dampen our joy. <br><br> In a few days we will be moving me south to live in his flat while he lives in our flat. We have a vow of celibacy before God until our wedding day on 8 April, 2006 and we want that clear to all whose lives we touch. We have two Bible passages which we believe God has written as the banner over our relationship. Matthew 6:33 & Proverbs 3:5, 6. <br><br> God is a God of loving surprises, as we both know. We each joined Big Church to hopefully encourage others and He has encouraged us with each other at the ages of 61 (me) and 67 (Ian.) Seeking Him first has brought us to each other that we may better serve Him, surrounded by His love flowing through each other. We are remaining on Big Church to continue encouraging others to seek Him first and allow Him to open the doors to relationships with a special person. |
