I am both a dreamer and planner, who values responsibility yet is ready for flights of fancy on a whim. I like to be social some, but am mostly quiet and pensive. I can talk all night about something important to me, and then barely utter a word the next day. Friends often show up on my porch because they haven't heard from me for a while.
I am very independant - I hate to ask for help and will not approach you first...yet I am very dependant upon the emotional energies of those I am close to once they become that way.
I have a good appreciation for both the light and shadow side of my personality. The sad, the bad, the blue and extreme have their own poignant beauty just as the happy, giddy, joyous do. Thus, when they happen, I reserve the right to experience them without my mate trying to "fix" them. From these come growth and maturity, as well as the rest of my personality. I am an artist, freelance writer, web designer, and photographer. What I learn flows into my art.
I am also an amateur historian, philosopher, arm-chair theologian, confederate, gothic princess and lover of hearth and home.
I'd rather see an alternative practitioner than a doctor and eat whole grain food. I also value activity, if it is natural, but I do not run unless chased and will not climb fake stairs. I also resent anyone who says I need to. Gyms are for career fitness people and those who have no fun in their lives.
I have a fascination with the confederate, medieval, gothic (both GOTH and GOTHIC REVIVA , viking, celtic, renn and victorian times and cultures and am in the process of decorating my home to reflect these tastes complete with purple lights, faeries, gargoyles, confederate memorobilia, dragons and celtic knotwork.
I have piercings and plan tattoos, my hair is plum or burgandy and often streaked. I do not dress conventionally and do not plan to. I'm a constitutional libertarian who believes in the confederate ideal, plans to live off the grid one day and protects privacy like a hawk.
My Ideal Person:
I'm looking for someone who is comfortable with the above description because I do not intend to change the way I'm currently living very much. He must have strong morals, solid relationship with God and sincere convictions in the theological realm, but at the same time I cannot abide someone who is a stuffy legalist who would spend time judging any activity not mentioned in the Bible. I have a good mind and strong opinions, I need someone who will disagree with me with conviction and honesty, yet also with honour, respect and compassion. The truth is not a weapon to hurt someone with. I also have a temper, but prefer to have a home where yelling is not common place, so I need someone who will not egg me on, but will either say nothing or preferably diffuse the situation with a witty one liner. My soul mate at least can understand the soul of the ..type, if he is not one himself and will have no qualms about going places with a woman in a corset or gypsy wear and black nail polish even if he is wearing something of a totally conflicting style. He must appreciate and value the differences we have and cherish me for who I am.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith is very important to me, it is the filter through which all of my other foundational beliefs are sifted. If I cannot find justification for it in scripture, it must at the very least not contradict it or it has no place in my life. My faith takes a very intellectual form mainly because I am a cerebral person, not because I lack passion or will.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
It's a verse in Daniel, the story where the Hebrew Children are ready to be thrown into the firey furnace. They are told to worship the king and they refuse. Daniel says that he worships a God who was able to take them and deliver them from harm "but if not", he will worship anyway. This speaks to me alot because i've had many instances where I would have loved a miracle, but was not given one. I still believe God is able, He deserves my praise whether He choses to relieve whatever stress I'm under. If I must endure a trial, it is for my own good, and for the good of God's plan. This is the way I see the dark times.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
I cannot fathom being spiritually linked to someone who cannot understand the most important thing about me. Besides, God disapproves of being unequally yoked.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
My father was in the military, we grew up all over the place. I chose to live south and here I will stay, however I do love to visit the mountains in the west and in New England during the snow.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I like to walk, I feel close to God when I'm walking, especially if I'm doing so in nature. If I'm alone I'll find myself praying automatically, just by being there. I like to read, I can get so lost in a book I have n o idea what time it is. I write and take my writing with me everywhere unless I know for a fact I will not be able to do any.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
If I'm not working, I will get up when the boys go to school, spend some quiet time with the Lord after I've made breakfast and gotten them off to school. Then I will get on the internet to check my mail and various things and post anything I've written the day before to my blogs or webpages. Then I will stop and do errands or housework for a while, and prepare what I'm planning for supper.
I'll go back to work on my writing until the boys come home, then I will see that they get their homework done will I put dinner on the stove or do any adjustments to the crockpot.
When they are outside I will be writing or working on the net. Evenings are for family activities. After they go to bed it's back to the computer again where I will type or research things.
Now, when I am working, whatever piece of the day is taken, that is what is changed. If I work at night that is what is moved. If I work at daytime, that is what is moved.
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
I want to become more consistent emotionally, especially in regards to holding my temper. I want to learn more good theology and understand world history better and I want to work toward my financial security and my creative gifts....
