My friends say that I am a very generous, compassionate and loving person with a fun sense of humor. I am a little shy at first, but once a person gets to know me, I loosen up and become a fun individual. I feel that God should be placed first in the lives of everyone; He has done such great things for me that I just want to share them with everyone!! I have become a more devout Christian since I saw "The Passion of the Christ" back in 2004 - I never realized how much Our Lord loved me, until I saw what He did for me on that Good Friday, 2000 years ago. I just didn't realize that there was One who loved me so much, that He would give up His Life for me, regardless of what I did, thought, said or felt. In my spare time, I enjoy reading (local history is one of my favorites), working on a huge scrapbook that I started a couple of years ago, watching movies (I am a huge movie buff!! All of those years working at Blockbuster paid off!), chatting with friends, and doing research on the Internet, and taking road trips to various destinations. I also love animals (I have a cat, a parakeet, and two cockatiels). Some of my favorite restaurants are The Olive Garden, Chili's, most Mexican restaurants (Mexican food is my favorite!), some Italian restaurants. I enjoy going to the movies, shopping, and just generally hanging out with good friends. I love to go sight seeing. I would like to have friends/dates in the Nashville/surrounding areas. At home, I enjoy listening to classic rock (those old songs bring back many fond memories of past friends from my childhood). Michael W. Smith is a great Christian artist - I thoroughly enjoy his music. I had the opportunity to meet Kathy Troccoli when I lived in VA; she is a fantastic artist. Some of my fave classic rock artists are Led Zepplin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, AC/DC (their older stuff) and a few others. I also enjoy listening to the older songs of Huey Lewis and the News. As far as movies, my favorite types of movies are action/adventure, mystery/suspense/thriller, comedy, and classic. I am not into gruesome horror movies. "The Passion" is my all-time favorite; Jim Caviezel is my favorite actor - his movies are so inspiring and touching. I love a lot of the classic television series - M*A*S*H is an all-time favorite. I also like "The Sopranos", "Alias", "Fear Factor", and a new favorite, is "Grey's Anatomy." I am a copy center associate at our local Staples. I have a background in document preparation/graphic arts. I used to work for a printing/embroidery shop when I lived in VA. This job at Staples has given me the opportunity to learn the new equipment and document prep technology. I hope to have a rewarding career at Staples. One of the more interesting things I've done was to go to Mardi Gras in New Orleans in February 2006. I've been wanting to attend that since I was a kid, and I did get my chance. It was a lot of fun. I also had the chance to see the Lower 9th Ward, where I saw the worst of the Hurricane Katrina damage. It's one thing to see this on TV, but to actually see it with your own eyes is something that's hard to describe. Even though I may not be the richest or most successful person in the world, I realize now how very blessed I am, after seeing what that hurricane did to those people's homes. The reality hit me right in the face. In closing, I just want to say that I look forward to meeting up with some really great Christian friends, and hopefully that special Christian someone, who Our Lord has chosen for me, on this site. God Bless.
My Ideal Person:
I am looking for someone who is very sensible and wants to take it rather slow in building a relationship, and who would love to fill the emptiness of my heart. I am looking for the special individual who would take the time to see what I have on the inside - what is inside of my heart - instead of just making a quick judgement on what he sees on the outside. When you can see a person's heart, then their outside looks shouldn't matter. I feel that that's what Our Lord has in mind when it comes to developing relationships. I love to meet new and interesting new people, but my real reason for joining this site is to meet a loving Christian man who will look past what he sees on the outside, and look at what I have on the inside. I would like to find a great friend who I can build a trusting relationship with, and hopefully turn it into a lasting relationship; I am looking for a Christian man who is not interested in just a relationship - I want one with God as the head of it. I am a generally healthy person (I don't smoke or drink), and I am looking for someone with the same attributes. I am looking for someone who is assertive, truthful, honest, and up front, and who will treat me like an equal, and not feel that they have to control me. I would like for my date to be a fun and loving person who has a compassionate heart, kind, caring and giving. A person who doesn't have to believe that beauty is only skin deep. I believe that a person's true beauty comes from his heart, and that inner beauty can be seen on a person's face. I also believe that that inner beauty is the Love of God and it shines on every face. I am attracted to clean-cut, humorous, yet gentle individuals who enjoy life, and who love praising God. I would know if there's any chemistry between my date and I if we were very interested in each other's feelings and values, and if we cared about what was in each other's hearts. Things that I look for in my future are a relationship with a wonderful, loving Christian man who will accept me for who I am, and vice versa. I am very interested in a man who has a good, stable job, who is able to contribute to the finances as much as I am able to - I am not interested in freeloaders or those who refuse to get out and make a decent living. It takes two working individuals to make it in these tough economic times. I am a hard-working woman who is not afraid to go to work every day.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
I was raised Baptist. I converted to Catholicism in 1992, then sort of fell away from the Catholic church because it didn't really focus on single people, unless your calling was to either become a nun or priest. Now, I attend a non-denominational church that has a huge singles ministry. My faith is very important to me, because God is the reason why I am here on this earth. God sees me as a very beautiful person, inside and outside, and I receive His Love all of the time.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
My fave scriptures are: "Thy Word is a Lamp Unto My Feet and Light Unto My Path (Ps. 119:105), "Delight Yourself in the Lord, and He Will Give You the Desires of Your Heart (Ps. 37:4), and "I Will Not Forget You, I Have Carved You on the Palm of My Hand (somewhere in Isaiah). These scriptures are very encouraging to me, and they let me know that God will never forget me or leave me.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Because it places God at its head - God should be the most important part of any Christian relationship. Our Lord can show us how to live a good Christian life by following His examples, and to trust in Him when we are in need. If both parties are good, devout Christians to begin with, then the foundation for a good marriage is in place. The chance for extra-curricular "activities" would be non-existent. God can show us how to open our hearts to each other so that we can love each other the way He wants us to love - tenderly, selflessly, and forever.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I was born and raised in Virginia. My entire family is from West Virginia. Both of my grandfathers were coal miners. When I was a child, we used to travel to West VA to see my grandmother (my grandfather on my dad's side passed away when I was 3, and my other grandfather passed away long before I was born)twice a year. My family traveled to New Orleans once, and to Florida a couple of times. We also went to Ohio a couple of times to visit family. I love traveling to New Orleans (I was there back in February for Mardi Gras - something I wanted to do since I was a kid); I hadn't been there since I was 8. I also love visiting New York City - you can't see it all in just one day!!! Washington, DC is also a neat place to visit, with all of the monuments and museums. I still love visiting West Virginia- the mountains are so beautiful, and the memories of my childhood visits are still with me.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
Pot luck dinners are a lot of fun at church - you get to try out other people's favorite recipies. Outside activities include movies (I've only mentioned it a hundred times!!), and sight-seeing with friends.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
My daily routine, right now, is get on the Internet and check my e-mail first thing in the morning; respond to any e-mails that I've received; watch a little TV, or read and listen to the radio at the same time. I have a few hours in the morning before I have to be at work at 1pm. I work a full 8-hour shift, then I'm usually exhausted by the time I get home. I check my e-mail again, and answer any ones that have come in, do a little web surfing, then finally call it a night. Of course, I do eat once in a while!! :)
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
Some of my personal goals would be to be financially stable, have my wonderful Christian man in my life, and to be able to do some serious traveling. My spiritial goals would include getting more involved in church, learning to trust other people, and know that they will not cause my any problems (I had a bad experience with a group back in VA), and get into the Bible more, understand what it is telling me about my life.
