Words can't really capture the human spirit, but suffice to say I'm really Bohemian in heritage and character.
Things I love: Being with people, good friends, laughing with a mate, spending time in my art (mixed media), writing, shoes, books, visiting Home Depot for stuff I can use in my art, dishes, Saturday morning markets, art festivals, I'm in school - learning lot s from my 18 year old classmates, I am fascinated by performance art or spoken word events, but overall I love being with people who are energized about life. Time spent with God is priceless to me and I do it often.
What I lack - the ability to cook (late breaking news, I can make tacos and spagetti as of June 1 cooking class), stink at playing pool and can't fish. Math and directionally challenged. Extremely dangerous with power tools.
What I've been blessed with: Discernment, hospitality, administration and mercy come easy. I have tremendous friends and a wild sense of humor, I can carry a tune, nice hair and fun wardrobe, whimsical decorating ability. The ability to meet tangible and immediate needs has been a reoccuring theme. I have traveled far and wide in the US and only in the Carribean / West Indies abroad.
I live an unorthodox life and have walked away from conventional theories about what success or spirituality looks like. I've been to the top of the success ladder and found it rather lonely up there. Anything in the kitchen is pretty much a mystery to me. My fridge has books and research papers neatly stacked in it. My dishwasher is used for storage...It's really that way.
My Ideal Person:
Compassionate, witty, strong, playful, gracious and accommodating of those unlike himself. He would understand what a servant heart is. He would know a thing or two about tragedy and how that seasons a person. Spiritual maturity would go far. God knows my personal preference for looks which is the most minor part of the equation. If you have a good hearty laugh, that's a plus.
Preferred but not show stoppers: Respectful of elders, babies and puppies will show me alot of who you are. Able to stand when standing is unpopular. Able to play and find joy in really stupid fun. Ability to switch gears quickly when necessary - major kudos.. The ability to bring out the gold in others a major plus. Motivated & forward thinking are important. Able to open your doors to strangers (especially missionaries home on leave).
I completely realize I'm looking for a needle in the haystack and will wait - I'm in no particular hurry - I'm just looking for one in 3 billion.
Nice to know: I was married for 20 years - no regrets / baggage - The healing, and all that goes with it has been done in the years I've lived single.
Why I'm trying this site: It's a first. I'm willing to experiment with technology and although I am fine as-is, all of this would just be so much more with a like-minded person. Definately not limited to my zip code, or state. Thanks for looking at my profile and taking the time to inquire.
