I think people make relationships more complicated than they need to be. Be good to each other; be honest; enjoy each other's company. If you have those things, everything else will follow. You know, "joy shared is joy doubled, and sorrow shared is sorrow halved." So, I'm just looking for someone to share this journey with. But it also helps if you're fun and energetic -- people should lift each other up, ya know? I'm a lawyer (but you knew that), I was in the Army Reserves, a musician and teacher, an actor and filmmaker, into boxing . . . . I guess I'm into a lot of different stuff, but as much as I tend to be busy, I enjoy relaxing by the wood stove with my two cats and just . . . being. I'd like to meet someone to share those quiet moments with, and to share waking up and having coffee, maybe some travel, movies, lazy days, crazy nights, whatever. That's why I say that if the company is good, almost any activity will be fun. So I'm looking for someone who smiles a lot, who has an artistic side, an athletic side, a spiritual side, and a goofy side. Laughter is incredibly important to me. Intellect and independence are, too, but you need to be able to laugh at life. It's all about balance; it's good to be independent, but still be able to let your guard down; be financially secure, but not be materialistic; health conscious, but not vain. And it's totally ok if we don't have identical views on everything (that might be boring anyway), as long as we respect each other's views. I love simplicity in life, and want to share that simplicity with someone. It doesn't have to be boring, it just means not getting caught up in all the distractions the world throws at us. Ok, I've babbled enough.
My Ideal Person:
Well, like I said above, it's all about finding a peaceful balance in one's life. I would like someone spiritual but open to new ideas, not only about religion, but about life in general. Being athletic and/or into the outdoors wold be great, too, as well as would be having an artistic side. I guess to sum it up, I'd like someone who wants to experience everything good that this world has to offer.
