I moved from Long Island, NY to CA 31 years ago for a job transfer and hope to always live near the coast. I enjoy life: Meeting new people, walking/hiking, day trips to the coast for a hike, lunch and watching the ocean - swimming if conditions are right, Day trips to favorite and new places, have traveled some (Europe, Hong Kong, Bali, Australia, Israel, a few cross-country trips), want to do much more, enjoy camping (not too rustic-Im not opposed to luxury!), movies, reading, dinner parties, playing board and card games, bocce ball, bunco, serving in church, Bible studies, spending time with friends and family, music - Still love the Beatles, James Taylor, Allman Brothers, late 60s/70s music, some of almost any kinds of music, singing Christian worship music, watching American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance. I enjoy dancing and would like to take lessons - ballroom, salsa, swing, line to get beyond the 70s shuffle (with some updated embellishments). Walking is my favorite form of exercise. I walked a half marathon in San Francisco in 10/09 and want to keep training to keep fit. Have done in the past and would like to get back to: downhill skiing, kayaking. My adult daughter lives w/me and is working toward a nursing degree.
My Ideal Person:
I am looking for a man working toward being spiritually, emotionally and physically healthy to share the ups and downs of life together. I am in no rush, as I think it takes time to really know a person, but want to begin that adventure and eventually marry. I am an optimistic, joyful,playful, easygoing woman who loves to laugh and thinks that relationship really doesnt have to be too hard. I agree that good relationships take work and purpose, but believe that if two people genuinely love each other, and are intentional in perpetuating their love, then life together can be fun. I do my best to make people feel loved and important to me. My faith in Jesus Christ is important to me. I want a partner to share in service to the Lord. I am also looking for someone who lives near me so that we can really get to know each other over an extended period of time.
