The number one thing in my life is my relationship with God. The right person for me would build up that relationship. I am a CFO that works at being an artist. I love to go for a five mile run and listen to what God has to reveal to me next. I'm a certifiable old car nut, and everything I own is a hot rod. One of the questions I like to ask people is out of the book "Experiencing God". That question is "What has God taught you lately?"
My Ideal Person:
I think I'm going to take a few points from the book "Finding the Love of Your Life". I love the part where he says to expect conflict. What's important is that if your feelings are hurt, it doesn't matter that it makes sense. If it is a great relationship, your mate will respect your feelings, and let you (hopefully calmly and with no "you" statements) express what is wrong, and honestly make an effort to rectify things. I believe if this is the foundation of a relationship, conflicts will actually make the relationship stronger.
With that out of the way (I'm pretty sure God gave me the words to say in the first paragraph), I stay physically active, and would be happiest with someone I could work out with. If someone tells me they can beat 56:34 in a 10K run, then my testosterone levels just multiplied.
My ideal person would lift me to do more than I would on my own. And I had darn well better be doing the same thing for them!
I would like having that "special person" to have many of the same interests as I do. I believe in strong family ties, an absolute must to be spiritual (not religious, there's a big difference), have a big heart, likes animals, and I would LOVE to learn to do ballroom dancing with that "someone special".
