My Ideal Person:
I'm looking for a man who is kind and gentle, caring & considerate yet still a man. Call me old fashioned but sometimes I like it when a man treats a woman like a woman.I'm looking for a man who has a heart for God, a good sense of humor, honest and faithful, with a desire to be awesome friends first and foremost. I believe that relationships have to grow. A man who is communicative, supportive of my dreams and desires, as I would be of his as well. I'm looking for someone that I can enjoy spending time with; whether we're just sitting and talking about nothing in particular or going bowling or a picnic in the park or taking a walk to watch the sunset or snuggling watching a movie together. Someone who is kind toward animals (because they can tell a good heart the minute they meet one). I believe that everyone deserves a little ME time so it's totally ok for him to have his own interests.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith is my life, my hope. I can hardly even imagine my life without it. Not that I would want to. But, I know that God has a unique plan for each of us in life. We may not always know exactly what that plan is but it was set in motion before we were born and He knows each twist and turn that we will encounter along the way. I know that as long as I put my faith in Him to guide me through any storm and to forgive me when I get things wrong, and to love me unconditionally simply as I am. That I can become the person He wants me to be.

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
My favorite scripture verse I keep close to me at all times, Eph 2:8 No matter what happens in my life I can always think of this one simple verse and remember that I am saved by grace through faith alone. Nothing that I can do or say can save us. Only faith, and that's all He asks of us, and it's such a small thing when you think of all the things that we ask Him for every single day.

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
I know what it is like to be in a relationship with someone who is not in a relationship with the Lord yet. It is incredibly difficult. It takes alot of out of a person. Even though you aren't perfect you feel as though you need to appear that way so that this person will be drawn more towards Christ. You know that whole thing about the camel through the eye of a needle thing? Well that's sort of it. I want, no I desire a relationship with someone who is not wishy washy, someone who has faith, even if it's as small as a mustard seed, as long as he is willing & desires to allow Christ to work in his life and grow a stronger relationship with Him, even before me.

Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
Being a military brat, I moved alot. I have lived in Maine, W. Virginia, S. Carolina, S. Dakota, and 3 different times in Florida (twice in Ft. Walton Beach and once in Tampa) As an adult I have lived in only in Tucson, but I have visited England (Lakenheath & meldenhall), Las Vegas, San Diego and Maui. Maui, I believe to be the closest thing to heaven on earth!!

What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
In church I have always been involved in teaching. I have been a room leader for the infant room, toddler room and also for the fourth graders. I have been a camp counselor several years also with the fourth graders. At one time I lead a community group for a group of high school girls, that was tons of fun!!! ^:-J Outside of church, as a student I am trying to get all of my studies done. I like to read and I like spending time with my grandchildren. I am in the process of finding a new church home and am looking forward to being able to get back involved in ministry. I would also like to get into a new community group. having christian friends is so important.

What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
I like to have my quiet time when I first wake up, it sets the tone for the entire day. Then it's usually a bit of housework and then hit the books. Then making dinner, before watching a bit of tv or maybe a little time on the computer before bed. There is quite a bit about this routine that I would love to see change, not the first part but some of the later in the day stuff. I'd like to have someone to hang out with.

What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
My main goal is to become a Christian Counselor / Chaplain. I believe that God has called me into this ministry and has been for many years but I wasn't paying close enough attention I guess. So, since nothing is ever too late for God, I am trying to bring this all into being, with His help of course. I would say that my personal & spiritual goals are the same. I want what He wants. But, yes I would enjoy having someone to share it all with as well.
