My Ideal Person:
Looks don't count, age isn't a barrier (though I do have some interesting thoughts on age I can share later) My ideal man will be passionate, first for the Lord and then for me. He will be honest, faithful, hardworking and hard playing. He will be my intellectual equal or better and challenge me to grow in all facets of life. He will be tender, and slow to anger or at least to blow up in anger.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
I have been a believer all my life and was first baptised at age 8. As I grew up I went through a phase that I think is typical of a lot of Christians where I began to question if there was a God and why was so much bad in the world if he was in control. In January of 2007, during an ice storm, in a hotel pool I was baptised and really knew what I was doing. It was my spiritual birth day and I marvel at how much closer I have become to our savior since that day. I strive to put God 1st, to serve whereever called and to emulate Jesus. I need church at least 3 of 4 sundays!

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
Jeremiah 29:11 "for I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." John 8:31-32 "Jesus said to the people who believed in Him, You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth and the TRUTH will SET YOU FREE!" Matthew 26:40 >>>I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters you were doing it to me. Proverbs 3:5-6 " Trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take"

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
I believe marriage is not 2 becoming 1 it is 3 becoming 1 because Jesus Christ is essential in a lasting, fulfilling and long term relationship. I can have compassion and love for non-Christians but my mate needs to share my faith and conviction that Christ paid with his life so we can be forgiven and have eternal life and a peace that passes all understanding. I want my husband to lead the family and I will be his helpmate and support, his friend and lover as we finish out God's plan for our lives together, equally yoked.

Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in various towns in Iowa. I have a passion for travel and have lived in Portugal and Ireland, have traved North America and Europe and am not afraid to go alone if noone wants to share the journey! Dublin, Ireland is my favorite place and the entire island of Ireland is the only place my soul yearns for in this world! I also love London and Amsterdam.

What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I love to sing so Praise and Worship is my favorite part of Church. I enjoy reading and really meditating on the meaning of the scriptures as they apply to me and my circumstances and find that with each new study I gain more and different insights. I love doing anything with my dog, a 3 year old Pembroke welsh corgi girl named Jayden. We hike the urban trails in Flagstaff.AZ and in years past I have bred and shown corgis. I like fishing and camping and target shooting as well.

What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
I have been blessed with a simple life right now. I wake, pray and read scriptures or watch Joyce Meyers. I take my dog for her first walk, do the hygeine routine and then look for that elusive job or run errands or once a week volunteer my time to cook for the homeless or help out at church, however I'm needed. I believe in early to bed, early to rise but have bouts of insomnia so sometimes I am up later than I would like.

What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
I would like to serve in a ministerial capacity. I feel the call but it isn't clear yet where he wants me. I spent the first 1/2 of my life living of, by and for the world's praise. Now I only want to praise Jesus and do good while I'm here. Some of my goals are to really dig into scripture study, step out of my comfort zone and get more involved with my church. I try to witness as often as possible and love to watch how God works in peoples lives, especially my own! I have been truly blessed!
